Care & ritual

Getting the most from your candle

1

First burn

Burn 2–3 hours until the wax melts to the edge — prevents tunnelling.

2

Trim the wick

Trim the cotton wick to ~5 mm before every light for a clean flame.

3

Burn safely

Never burn longer than 4 hours, and keep away from drafts.

4

Last pour

Stop burning with ~1 cm of wax left to protect the jar.

The first burn matters most. Let the wax melt fully to the edge of the jar the first time you light it — about 2–3 hours — to prevent tunnelling and get an even burn every time after.
