Privacy Policy

Elysium Bliss is operated from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and what happens to it. We've written it in plain language because a privacy policy nobody can read isn't much of a policy.
We handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
What we collect
When you place an order: your name, shipping and billing address, email address, phone number if you provide one, and the contents of your order. Payment card details go directly to our payment processor — we never see or store your full card number.
When you subscribe to The Bliss Circle: your email address, and your name if you give it.
When you email us: whatever you choose to tell us, kept alongside your order history so we have context next time.
When you visit the site: standard analytics — pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived. This is aggregated and isn't used to identify you personally.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent, trade or share it for anyone else's marketing.
Who we share it with
Only the services that make the business run:
Squarespace — hosts our website and store, and processes orders
Our payment processors — handle payment securely; we receive confirmation, not card details
Shipping carriers — receive your name and delivery address so your parcel arrives
Our email marketing provider — sends The Bliss Circle if you've subscribed
Each receives only what it needs. We may also disclose information where required by law
Where your information is stored
Our website platform and some of our service providers store data on servers outside Canada, including in the United States. While your information is in another country it may be accessible to that country's courts and law enforcement under that country's laws. By using this site and placing an order, you consent to that transfer.
Marketing email
We only send marketing email to people who have asked for it, as required under Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). Every email includes an unsubscribe link that works immediately, and our mailing address. Unsubscribing from marketing doesn't stop order confirmations or shipping notifications — those are part of your purchase.
Cookies
Our site uses cookies to keep your cart working, remember your preferences, and gather anonymous analytics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the checkout may stop working if you do.
How long we keep it
Order records are retained for as long as required for tax and accounting purposes under Canadian law — generally six years. Marketing subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Email correspondence is kept while it's useful for supporting you, and deleted when it isn't.
Keeping it secure
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted connections and reputable third-party processors. No system is perfectly secure, and we don't pretend otherwise — but we don't retain more than we need, which is the most effective protection there is.
Children
This site isn't directed at children and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe we have, email us and we'll delete it.

You can ask us to:

Correct anything that's wrong
Delete information we're not legally required to keep
Stop sending you marketing
Email care@elysiumbliss.ca and we'll respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity first.
Complaints
If you're not satisfied with how we've handled your information, contact us first — we'd rather fix it. You can also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca, or the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta at oipc.ab.ca.
Changes
We'll update this policy when our practices change, and update the date at the top. Material changes will be notified to subscribers by email.
